In this Silent Mini Retreat, Alexandra will teach and guide a meditation known as the absorption of cessation. This meditation quickly frees our mind from distraction and enables us to experience a more subtle, spacious, and joyful mind. Combining this method with Buddha’s teaching on transforming the mind opens us to our potential for real change. It enables us to liberate ourselves from painful habits such as anger, hurt, and compulsions quickly.

During the Session Breaks
Take time to relax in the meditation space or backyard and carry your experience of peace by:
1. Nourishing yourself with a refreshing tea or drink and a healthy snack
2. Exploring our meditation book collection and contemplating passages

About Silence
Silence is not just about not talking but about developing an inner quality of stillness. In silence, we engage with the meditation object more intimately. We stop ‘chatting’ about the Dharma from our mouth and start listening to the Dharma from deep within our heart, which gives us an exceptional inner experience of the teachings we receive. Penetrating insights arise, and since we can hold onto them with firm mindfulness, we find that Dharma experience pervades and nourishes our heart deeply.
