The Joy of Life: Meditation, Mindfulness and Insights that will Transform Your Life

This class is offered in-person only

In this series, we embark upon the structured set of meditations known as the ‘Stages of the Path’, sometimes referred to by its Tibetan name ‘Lamrim’. These ‘stages’ capture all the essential insights taught by Buddha. It is a step-by-step guide to experiencing the full joy and meaning of our human life. In this presentation, based on the Modern Buddhism arrangement in How to Understand the Mind by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, we will explore how our relationships, job, enjoyments, commute etc., can be made part of a joyful path leading us ever closer to the fulfillment of our highest potential, enlightenment itself!

Forget Willpower, Try Wisdom: How to Actually Become the Person You Want to Be

Who we are very much depends on who we think we are. So who will you be in 2023? We change every day in dependence upon our thoughts – but usually without choice, which is why we experience so many problems. Through learning Buddha’s practical insights into who we really are and who we can be, we can harness a natural process of self-transformation and make it work in our favor. Instead of pushing or struggling with ourselves, trying to change through willpower alone, we can make real, sustained, and smooth change from the inside out with wisdom, and in the process, experience deeper and deeper levels of joy and fulfillment.

These classes will contain game-changing advice on meditation for everyone from complete beginners to advanced Tantric practitioners.
