Taking A Holiday from Exhausting Concerns

$10 per class by donation, free for supporting members

This class is offered in-person only

Why do we find the holidays (and even many ordinary days) so exhausting? Not having any experience with the burdens of our seasonal traditions, Buddha had some incredibly practical insights on the subject.
In his teachings on the 8 worldly concerns—our focus on receiving praise, experiencing pleasure, enjoying a good reputation, amassing resources, and our aversion to their opposite—Buddha explained precisely why we tend to experience discouragement, anxiety, and constant frustrations. All exhausting!
In this course, through our meditations and discussions, we’ll investigate the nature of these concerns and how to transform them. As a result, we’ll enjoy a more joyful holiday season and a more meaningful life, refreshed energized, able to easily give to others, and to treat ourselves to a permanent holiday from pointless worry.
