Harlem Buddhist Meditation Class
The Transformative Power of Radical Love
$10 per class by donation, free for supporting members
This class is offered in-person only
Buddha said centuries ago that if we want to actualize our potential for lasting happiness, if we want to have harmonious and open-hearted relationships, and if we want to experience a peaceful world then external changes will not be sufficient. We need to change our minds.
In this series, we will present powerful meditations and practices given to us by Buddha to truly open our hearts. These methods give us the tools to destroy the destructive sense of ‘otherness’ so that we relate instead to people’s humanity, giving rise to real connection and love.
Everyone wishing to change their mind is welcome.

Taking a Holiday from Painful Feelings
The holidays can be a challenging time. Many people experience anxiety, loneliness or grief. In this series we will learn special Buddhist meditations that will help us to discover an inner peace that is an expression of our actual nature and our limitless potential. Abiding in this inner refuge gives us the ability to skillfully accept painful emotions as they arise and then to transform them into positive minds, such as wisdom and love. This in turn gives rise to joyful energy to fulfill our deepest wishes and become the person we wish to be.
