Concentration – Improving the Quality of our Meditation and Life
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
Continuing our exploration of the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, we now delve into the 5th perfection: concentration. Strong concentration leads to strong meditation, which in turn empowers our spiritual practice to bring about real inner change and progress. In this series we will learn special techniques for overcoming distractions and developing deep absorption in our meditation. Through this we will come to strength our ability to improve our focus out of meditation as well. Applying these methods will assist us in every area of our life.

Wisdom – Helping the World Through Healing the Mind
Concluding our exploration of the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, we now delve into the 6th perfection: the perfect of wisdom. Wisdom is different from ordinary intelligence. It’s not about being smart or gaining more intellectual knowledge. Rather, the perfection of wisdom is a liberating insight into the nature of reality that has the power to solve all our problems.
In this series we will learn how to understand and meditate on emptiness, and through that, to distinguish between the way things appear and the way they actually exist. This wisdom gives us the ability to let go of hurts and resentments, develop lasting peace and happiness, and to realize our deepest spiritual potential.
Combining wisdom with compassion will allow us to become a friend of the world and complete the Bodhisattva’s path — healing our mind and thereby being able to truly help others.
