Purify Negative Karma: Vajrasattva Practice-with Woo Jung Cho
Our world is just a reflection of the karmic seeds ripening in our mind. Embracing this truth brings radical responsibility and inner freedom. One of the greatest gifts of dharma is that it teaches us how to purify our past, negative karma. Our negative karma is like a legacy that obstructs our wishes, keeps us stuck in bad habits, and leaves us confused and unhappy. In this series, we learn methods to purify our negative karma to prevent future suffering, attain lasting happiness, and become the beneficial person we wish to be.
The Vajrasattva purification practice is a special four-step technique to change our impure mind by letting go of past, negative karma. Through this special process and by relying on Buddha Vajrasattva, we shed our negative karmic burden, our mind becomes completely pure and clear, and our world transforms for the better. This powerful practice helps us view our lives through the lens of karma and empowers us to create the world we all desire.
Buddha’s teachings on karma bring clarity to our lives, and we cultivate a profound insight that attaining lasting happiness is not about changing our external conditions but about changing the state of our mind.

MEDITATION IS FOR EVERYONE, JOIN US!
Meditation is about understanding and transforming our mind, shifting our mental state from negative to positive ones that cause true happiness. Meditation connects us to the extraordinary potential within our own mind. Through meditation we discover that our mind is vast, light, the very nature of peace and joy, and infinitely flexible. This discovery opens us up to a whole new perspective: We can change. We can heal. We can flourish from within and benefit all the people in our lives and beyond. Join us for a joyful exploration of the art of flourishing from a modern Buddhist perspective.
Meditation in Queens provides weekly in-person meditation classes in Long Island City and we seek to expand our offerings in the future to Sunnyside, Astoria, Jackson Heights and other neighborhoods of Queens through pop-ups and regular class offerings.
