How to Get to Freedom-Four Practical Tips for Orienteering Our Life Towards Happiness - With Henry Green
We spend our entire life searching for happiness, arranging all of the conditions in our life to try and satisfy our desires and avoid suffering. But has anyone found the lasting happiness and satisfaction they long for? Buddha taught that we’re looking in the wrong place for happiness, and gave very clear guidance on how to attain our heart’s deepest wish. We don’t need to make big external changes in our life. We just need to reorient how we view our life and our purpose in it. Like a GPS, Buddha’s advice gives us the directions we need to arrive at our chosen destination.
In this series, we will study one of Buddha’s most famous and practical teachings, The Four Noble Truths. We will learn practical ways to use our meditation practice to cultivate deep and lasting happiness. In this way, we arrive at true freedom from suffering and problems.

MEDITATION IS FOR EVERYONE, JOIN US!
Meditation is about understanding and transforming our mind, shifting our mental state from negative to positive ones that cause true happiness. Meditation connects us to the extraordinary potential within our own mind. Through meditation we discover that our mind is vast, light, the very nature of peace and joy, and infinitely flexible. This discovery opens us up to a whole new perspective: We can change. We can heal. We can flourish from within and benefit all the people in our lives and beyond. Join us for a joyful exploration of the art of flourishing from a modern Buddhist perspective.
Meditation in Queens provides weekly in-person meditation classes in Long Island City and we seek to expand our offerings in the future to Sunnyside, Astoria, Jackson Heights and other neighborhoods of Queens through pop-ups and regular class offerings.
