Transforming Anger and Hurt into Spiritual Power
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
Why do we respond to feelings of hurt and rejection by becoming angry? Clearly we think that anger will protect us. However, in truth it does the opposite. It locks us even deeper into our experience of being overwhelmed, makes us feel worse about ourselves, and leads us to say and do things that exacerbate the problem and that we will later regret.
In this series, through talks, guided meditations and discussions, we will explore far more successful strategies for dealing with hurt and disappointment. We will discover how rather than getting swept up in our anger we can transform that impulse into a flexible, peaceful and clear-minded response. Such a skillful response not only brings resolution and creates harmony, it also enables us transcend our feelings of hurt within we so often feel stuck.
Everybody welcome.

Special Event & Five-Week Series: The Amazing Meditation for Healing Body and Mind
The meditation known as Taking and Giving, in Tibetan "tonglen", has been used for centuries as a healing meditation. Not only is this meditation legendary for its physical healing properties, it is also a powerful method for healing painful mental tendencies such as insecurity, anger and hurt. Taking and Giving practice gives rise to innumerable benefits, including boosting positive energy, purifying the mind and in particular enabling us to deal skillfully and peacefully with our daily challenges.
Kadam Morten will introduce us to this amazing practice – which is quite simple and can be practiced by anyone – and then in the ensuing 5-week series, take us deeper and deeper into this beautiful and life-enhancing method.
Everyone welcome
