Transforming Difficult Times into Inner Strength
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
When we experience stress and tension in our lives, it’s easy to feel emotionally overwhelmed or powerless; but it doesn’t have to be that way! All of us have inner reservoirs of peace, wisdom, and sanity waiting to be discovered. In particular, we can learn to roll with life’s punches and make peace with adversity, essential skills in a world where we cannot always control what happens, whether that’s with personal struggles or the uncertain times we live in. Our real power lies in how we respond and show up for others. With a few simple time-honored and wise Buddhist teachings, you’ll discover how to stop sweating the small stuff—or the big stuff—and embrace life with more openness, flexibility, and lightness of touch.

Harnessing the Power of Imagination to Transform Your Life
“Tantra, also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we will attain enlightenment very quickly." – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in his book Modern Buddhism
Our imagination is more powerful than we realize. In reality, everything begins in the imagination. In his Tantric teachings, Buddha taught many practical methods for harnessing the power of our imagination for personal growth and transformation. Although the term Tantra is very popular these days, many people misunderstand its real meaning and it is often misused.
In Buddhism, Tantra is a very special practice that harnesses the power of our imagination and the power of Buddha’s blessings to quickly heal our mental continuum and leads us to a state of permanent peace and happiness. Through practicing Tantra we can transform our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities into those of an enlightened being.
