The Transformative Power of Meditation

A Creative Approach to Challenging Times

When we experience stress and tension in our lives, it’s easy to feel emotionally overwhelmed or powerless; In Buddhism these painful emotions are known as ‘delusions’, unreliable states of mind, guaranteed to create unhappiness for yourself and others. Buddha taught clear methods – based in meditation – for recognizing these delusions and transforming them into healthier, reality-based states of mind. These are essential tools in a world where we cannot always control what happens, whether that’s with personal struggles or the uncertain times we live in. By applying these methods and dismantling our painful states of mind we can remain peaceful and effective in even the most difficult situations.

March 8: Meditation Matters
March 15: Recognizing Negative Patterns of Thought
March 22: Dealing Skillfully With Unpleasant Feelings
March 29: Jealousy vs. Rejoicing
April 5: Insecurity vs. Confidence

Our general program classes include Dharma teachings along with guided meditations
These classes are suitable for both beginners and more advanced meditation practitioners
General meditation classes are given as a series, but can also be taken individually
No special clothing is required
No pre-registration is necessary
