Triggered: The Mechanics of Anger and the Wisdom of Acceptance
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
Anger is one of the most painful and destructive delusions, and it affects our mind almost everyday. When we’re angry we can’t relax, see things clearly, connect to others, or enjoy our life—period.
So what’s the solution? Anger is a response to meeting unpleasant circumstances, right? Wrong: According to Buddha, it’s actually a response to our own painful feelings, which in turn arise whenever we meet difficult circumstances. Those painful feelings in turn depend on our own mistaken expectations—distorted views and beliefs that set us up for suffering in advance.
In this special five-week series based on Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s How To Solve Our Human Problems, we’ll explore how to develop the wisdom and practical insights necessary to meet difficulty in a brand new way; to free ourselves from anger through the transformative power of acceptance.
October 18: The mechanics of anger, with Edwin Tubb
