Healing Ourselves and Others
This class is offered in person only
$10 per class, free for supporting members
The meditation known as Taking and Giving, in Tibetan “tonglen”, has been used for centuries as a healing meditation. Not only is this meditation legendary for its physical healing properties, it is also a powerful method for healing painful mental tendencies such as insecurity, anger and hurt. Taking and Giving practice gives rise to innumerable benefits, including boosting positive energy, purifying the mind and enabling us to deal skillfully and peacefully with our daily challenges. It also leads to the extraordinary mind of a special being, a Bodhisattva, often characterized as a “friend to the world.”
In this series, Paige will introduce us to this amazing meditation – which is quite powerful and can be practiced by anyone.

The Best Meditation for Improving Concentration and Experiencing Deep Peace
We need a safe internal space in trying times and for our general well being. Improving our concentration in meditation naturally increases our experience of inner peace, happiness, confidence, as well as increasing our efficacy in all of other activities. Buddha highlighted one meditation in particular as the very best for increasing mindfulness and concentration, the meditation on the nature of the mind. In this series we will explore how gaining experience in this meditation helps us to easily overcome our tendency towards distraction, sets us up for making real progress in meditation, and helps us relate to our limitless potential!
