So many of us feel stuck, incapable of change and of experiencing the happiness, love, and confidence we long for. Our mind feels inflexible, as if its tendencies were set in stone, and we identify with these limitations. But according to Buddha, the mind has no limit! And our potential for change is boundless.
In this course we will be guided into discovering for ourselves the limitless nature of the mind through the beautiful and profound meditation known as mahamudra. Experience in this meditation opens us up to a completely new way of relating to our self. We will understand through our own experience that we can change, that anything is possible, and that we can become the person we long to be.
This course is suitable for everyone. No prior experience is necessary.
No special clothing is required. No pre-registration required. We offer chairs or cushions to sit on.
*It is recommended that you attend the course in its entirety. Per-session registration is not available online, but walk-ins are welcome for those who cannot attend both sessions.
About Kadampa Meditation Center NYC
Located in the heart of Chelsea, Kadampa Meditation Center NYC provides meditation classes and teachings throughout NYC and the greater New York area.
We offer evening meditation classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and morning meditation classes on Tuesdays and Sundays that are suitable for newcomers. Our lunchtime meditations and after-work meditations are only a half-hour long and a great way to get a taste of meditation. We also have a monthly introductory classes, Learn the Fundamentals of Buddhist Meditation, and on occasional Sundays Awakening the Heart ,as well as regular day and weekend meditation courses and retreats.
