Love and Emptiness
Bringing Wisdom to your Heart
Of course we understand that love improves our relationship with others. But love is so much more than that. We can engage with a mind of love toward our entire community, and in fact with our entire world. Imagine that! Love is an internal experience, a mind that naturally produces happiness, and allows us to extend that happiness and goodwill to others. It is a big heart, not a restricted one.
In order to unlock our full potential for this boundless and, in fact, transcendent love, we need wisdom. We need to understand wisdom and we need to experience it. With wisdom we will transcend our ordinary sense of self and find freedom from the limiting views that have been holding us back for so long.
In this course we will explore this deep mutually supportive relationship between love and wisdom, in particular the liberating wisdom that understands what in Buddhism is known as emptiness, the beautiful and extraordinary interdependence of all things.
