Harnessing the Power of Imagination to Transform Your Life
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
“Tantra, also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we will attain enlightenment very quickly.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in his book Modern Buddhism
Our imagination is more powerful than we realize. In reality, everything begins in the imagination. In his Tantric teachings, Buddha taught many practical methods for harnessing the power of our imagination for personal growth and transformation. Although the term Tantra is very popular these days, many people misunderstand its real meaning and it is often misused.
In Buddhism, Tantra is a very special practice that harnesses the power of our imagination and the power of Buddha’s blessings to quickly heal our mental continuum and leads us to a state of permanent peace and happiness. Through practicing Tantra we can transform our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities into those of an enlightened being.

Inner Protection for Difficult Times: The Practice of Going For Refuge
When the external situation feels unsettling and challenging it is even more important than normal to establish inner protection. In other words, to be able to create a peaceful and blessed state of mind that will empower us to respond to all our various challenges with wisdom and a good heart.
It is precisely the practice of going for refuge that enables us to create this inner protection. Through refuge in Dharma, we discover the inner strength and wonderful states of mind, such as love and wisdom, that naturally exist within. Through refuge in Buddha we discover how to connect to a vast reservoir of inspiration and blessing. Through refuge in Sangha, we receive the guidance and assistance required to bring real mental and spiritual progress in our lives. In this course, through talks, guided meditation, and discussion, we will discover how to apply this rich and wonderful practice to our own lives.
Everyone welcome.
