The Love Meditations
How Love Creates a Better World
This class is offered in person only
$15 per class, free for supporting members
Whenever we feel an appreciation for another person or being, whenever we are valuing another person’s happiness or freedom, we are experiencing love. That’s why love is for everyone. What’s more, authentic love is available to us at any time. It is the manifestation of our naturally good heart and whenever we access it we experience peace and happiness. However, we need to learn how to access it. As we all know, sometimes that can be tricky.
Buddha taught an extraordinary sequence of meditations through which we gradually let go of the hurt and resentment that holds us back from opening our hearts to others. These meditations help us to purify our love, thereby improving all our relationships. Step by step we are led to expand our capacity, eventually to encompass all beings.
Through talks, guided meditations and discussions Kadam Morten and other Center teachers will help us to experience these profound and life-changing meditations. Everyone welcome.

NEXT SERIES
Happiness is Always Possible: Meditations for Transforming Difficult Times
In this series we will look at the ancient, and yet completely contemporary, practice known as Transforming Adverse Conditions into the Path. Normally we respond to difficulties by feeling overwhelmed, blaming and becoming angry. However, through the practice of meditation we learn instead to remain centered so that instead of immediately rejecting the situation we are able to assess it and indeed learn and grow from it. In this way, these ‘adverse conditions” end up fueling our spiritual growth, increasing our wisdom, patience, love, and compassion. We learn that a wise, skillful and authentic happiness is always possible. And that the more we train in this, the more meaningful and wonderful our life will become. And the more we will be able to use our ever-deepening happiness and wisdom to help others experiencing difficulties.
