The Love Meditations: How Love Creates a Better World
Whenever we feel an appreciation for another person or being, whenever we are valuing another person’s happiness or freedom, we are experiencing love. That’s why love is for everyone. What’s more, authentic love is available to us at any time. It is the manifestation of our naturally good heart and whenever we access it we experience peace and happiness. However, we need to learn how to access it. As we all know, sometimes that can be tricky.
Buddha taught an extraordinary sequence of meditations through which we gradually let go of the hurt and resentment that holds us back from opening our hearts to others. These meditations help us to purify our love, thereby improving all our relationships. Step by step we are led to expand our capacity, eventually to encompass all beings.

How to Get the Most Out of Meditation
Meditation is about much more that just achieving some temporary relaxation and a bit of inner peace. It’s actually a powerful tool to bring about profound inner change. When applied correctly meditation can enable us to let go of old angers and hurts, find freedom from anxiety, and bring about a powerfully positive view of our self and our life. It can help us heal broken relationships … and ultimately enable us to actualize our highest potential.
These life-changing results depend upon applying meditation correctly. In this series we will be exploring what is known as the ‘Preparatory Practices’, which is a traditional sequence of mental exercises designed to help us maximize the power of our meditation. These mind trainings include creating the right motivations and special ways of thinking that add strong positive energy to our meditation. In this way we create the perfect internal environment for our meditation to go much deeper and be much more effective in bringing about real change.
