Harlem Buddhist Meditation Class – Sundays
Letting Go and Meditating to a New You
In this first series of the new year, we will use wisdom meditation to transform problems arising from holding onto things. not being able to let go of inner painful mental states into opportunities for joy. We may wish to change but feel that something is holding us back. Through developing skillful and creative methods we initiate the change we all long for. We will learn to observe thoughts without judgment, recognizing them as temporary patterns, not reality, The profound tools of transformation within Buddhist meditation will help us to develop a clear understanding of how to let go of past hurts, let go of our limited sense of self, let go of our our repetitive patterns of negative thoughts and instead existing in a state of lasting freedom and happiness!

NEXT SERIES
The Love Series: Meditations on Love, a Guide to Cultivating Meaningful and Compassionate Relationships.
Whenever we feel an appreciation for another person or being, whenever we are valuing another person’s happiness or freedom, we are experiencing love. Authentic love is available to us at any time. Love is our nature. It is the manifestation of our naturally good heart and whenever we access it we experience peace and happiness. The mind of love is a tremendous source of energy. The mind of love can nourish and can heal.
Buddha taught an extraordinary sequence of meditations through which we gradually let go of the hurt and resentment that holds us back from opening our hearts to others. These meditations help us to purify our love, thereby improving all our relationships. Step by step practical advice will be shared on how to cultivate love in our relationships, connect with people on a deeper level and expand our capacity for love to eventually encompass all beings.
