Riverdale Buddhist Meditation Class
Bringing the Wisdom of the Buddhas into our Daily Lives
Buddhas provide role models for our spiritual progress and help us cultivate various virtuous minds through developing our understanding of their enlightened qualities. When we connect with a Buddhas mind, we receive their blessings which help us to transform our daily activities and sufferings into the spiritual path.
In this series we will learn to integrate dharma (Buddha’s teachings) into our daily life and come to rely on these good qualities as we investigate our own potential for enlightenment. When we meditate on particular qualities such as love, wisdom and compassion we develop these corresponding qualities in our own mind. We learn to recognize and rely on our inner peace as well as these qualities by strengthening our faith in the Buddhas and their blessings. We come to understand that true happiness is always available to us because it resides in our own mind and the potential is within our reach to live from this place of pure happiness all the time. All we need to do is follow the wisdom and guidance of all Buddhas.
