The Creative Act of Transforming Anger
This class is offered in person only
$10 per class, free for supporting members
Wanting things to be other than what they are can lead us to become angry. According to Buddha, anger is a deluded, unpeaceful mind that distorts our perception, causing us to exaggerate problems so that they feel unmanageable.
During this series, through talks and guided meditations, we will explore Buddha’s transformative perspective and his illuminating and practical teachings on how to let go of anger. Putting these explanations into practice, our meditations will guide us to completely transform the energy of anger into a centered, skillful and creative response that opens us up to resolutions and new possibilities.

NEXT SERIES
The Habits of Happiness, with Edwin Tubb
Why should happiness and well-being be something that only comes our way every now and then? Is life really this random, or is it possible to take some control over our own experience and (yes!) even direct it to the most beneficial and joyful experience we can imagine?
Let's do that. Buddha explained that we have specific "mental factors" (eleven of them, to be precise) that when put into play will naturally give rise to feelings of peace and happiness. What we want to do is begin to make a habit of activating them.
Each of these eleven habits of mind has the power:
*to shift our perspective,
*shake off stress,
*and boost our emotional well-being.
In this series, we’ll explore and unpack these special insights, and discover how Buddhist meditation can power-up the peace, presence and positivity in your life. Everyone welcome.
