A Life of Profound Purpose
How to Seize the Day, Every Day
Everyone needs a sense of purpose in their life, a deeper reason to engage with their life beyond the random observing, consuming and reacting to whatever is arising. Often our sense of purpose is wrapped up with career goals, family commitments, or personal achievements and enjoyments.
But what happens when we fail to achieve these goals, or the circumstances around them change? What then? It’s difficult to develop a deeper purpose unless we have become aware of the extraordinary potential that lies within each and every one of us, the natural potential within our mind for the fulfillment of the deepest and most pervasive of our wishes, the wish for lasting happiness and freedom from suffering. It is this recognition that opens us to developing a spiritual purpose that transcends our ordinary ones, while at the same allowing us to fulfill them as well, if we wish.
Based on their combined practice and teaching of more than 80 years, Kadam Lucy and Kadam Morten, will explain how to train, in and out of meditation, in developing and applying profound, joyful, and life-affirming purposes. They will share from their own experience of training in the Bodhisattva’s way of life and the incredible inspiration they received from the example of their Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Each session will include a talk and guided meditation, and the course will conclude with a Q&A with the two Kadams.
