An introduction to the special purification practice done annually to celebrate Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, April 15th. Because the essence of the Buddhist path is compassion, in this practice, which involves a short fast and the practice of prostrations, we purify our mind fully by meditating extensively on compassion.
Kadam Morten will explain the various components of this ancient and powerful practice: how we can purify negative karma, prostrations to the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, the eight Mahayana precepts and mantra recitation. Kadam Morten will then guide a meditation on the Buddha of Compassion.
