New Series: The Truths That Set Us Free

Bringing Buddha’s Four Noble Truths into our Daily Lives

Through the practice of Modern Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths—the first teachings offered by Buddha 2,500 years ago—are as relevant and practical now as they were then. In this series, we’ll discover how these foundational, tried and true teachings illuminate the problem of our suffering and offer the solution for liberating ourselves and others from it.

In How To Solve Our Human Problems—Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s modern commentary on The Four Noble Truths—we are given a wealth of immediately useful advice for taking these teachings to heart and putting them into practice in our daily lives. This advice can be particularly helpful in moments of pain, grief, depression, anger, or even just mild but all-too-persistent dissatisfaction with our lives.

By exploring this book and other lineage texts and looking directly at own mind in meditation, we will each discover for ourselves what these teachings mean and how they can be transformative for us personally. With practice, we’ll experience a greater sense of freedom, meaning, and joy every day.
