The Joy of Pure Freedom
When it comes to finding happiness, we are all in the habit of seeking it from things outside of ourselves, such as relationships, power, possessions, etc. But these things never provide lasting happiness and often enough, they even give rise to disappointment, conflict and unhappiness. Yet we keep trying to find happiness in this ordinary way which keeps us trapped in a cycle of suffering, always seeking but never finding what we long for.
According to Buddha we’re stuck in this never ending cycle due to a misunderstanding of where happiness comes from. We all have within our minds the potential to experience limitless joy and freedom from unhappiness, and we can begin cultivating this now. What we need to do is learn how to tap into our reservoir of inner peace, which gives us a taste of our true potential. From there, we can easily deepen our understanding of where real freedom lies and then continue to experience it more and more until a sense of boundless possibility pervades us all of the time.
Join us for this half day retreat with Adrienne Weiss where she will guide us in how we can begin cultivating the experience of the pure, unadulterated joy and freedom that lies within.
