With the right techniques, anyone can begin and sustain a successful daily meditation practice.
Join us for this special two-session class where we’ll explore the methods taught by Buddha for establishing a regular meditation practice.
We’ll examine the Buddhist way of thinking as well as the practical side of setting up a daily practice.
Session 1: Introduction to Buddhism 10:30 – 11:45 am
In Part I of the course you will learn the fundamentals of Buddhist view and how they apply to meditation, ie training the mind. Applying these methods in your everyday life will lead to happiness and a sense of purpose and harmony in your relationships.
Session 2: Introduction to Meditation (a workshop) 12:15 – 1:30 pm
In Part II of the course you will learn the basics of meditation, from why we would want to meditate to the “technical” matters of how to do it. The workshop will include some guided meditations and provide plenty of time for questions.
It is recommended to attend the course in its entirety
