The Art of Flourishing
How Buddhist Meditation Empowers You to Enrich Your Life
We all want to do more in this life than simply get by; we want our lives to flourish. The specifics of what that would look like – improving on our own skills, relationships, professional success, wealth, etc. – will differ from person to person. But in general, everyone wants to have an experience in their heart of abundance and flourishing. We all want to live an expansive life with a steadily growing experience of joy, love, and wisdom, all imbued with a strong sense of purpose. External success and development without authentic internal change will ultimately feel hollow and meaningless, whereas the internal sense of the flourishing of our heart and mind will naturally bring with it a positive experience of external growth. Ultimately, it is the inner experience that matters most.
In this course, Kadam Morten will show us how understanding that we can nurture the most important qualities in our life – love, happiness, kindness, wisdom etc. – through meditation, will give us that strong sense of purpose. Our life will flourish. To bring this about requires skill and craft and therein lies the art of it. As Kadam Morten will make clear, key to the development of this art is understanding the law of karma as taught by Buddha.
The course will conclude with a Q&A.
