Following the Fall Festival 2026, and the empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa, join us for a special retreat on Heart Jewel and the practice of the Migtsema prayer, led by special guest Gen Samten, resident teacher of the World Peace temple upstate.
The Migtsema prayer is a powerful method for developing our faith, the root of all spiritual attainments. For meditators living in busy contemporary society it is an invaluable method to cultivate the qualities of compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power. These three qualities improve our relationships with others, enable us to transform challenges into opportunities for spiritual growth, and empower our spiritual practices to become successful. In particular, reciting this prayer empowers us to bring benefit and happiness to others, and make the world a better place. In this mini post-festival retreat—beginning with an introduction on Friday evening and followed by three sessions on Saturday—Gen Samten will explain and guide us through the meditations and visualizations associated with the five-line migtsema prayer, allowing for us to deepen our faith in Je Tsongkhapa and his teachings.
