Meditation and Daily and Long-term Happiness
Everyone wants to be happy. Indeed, we are all longing for lasting happiness. But because we associate happiness with external situations, such as enjoyments, relationships, jobs and so on, all of which are temporary and unreliable, we fail to find the true happiness we long for. We might even conclude that such lasting happiness isn’t possible. However, happiness is actually a state of mind. As such, the true cause of happiness is in the mind. Which means, as Buddha has clearly demonstrated, it is definitely with our reach.
In this special talk, and ensuing 5-week series, Kadam Morten will show us how the practice of Buddhist meditation is designed to take us directly to actual sources of happiness, the mind of inner peace. Through talks and guided meditations, we will learn not only how to access that inner peace, but how to nurture and grow it. We will learn how we can be training in letting go of our inner agitation, and nurturing peaceful, positive minds, throughout our daily activities, opening us up to whole new and wonderful way of relating to ourselves and our life.
