SPECIAL OFFERING TO THE SPIRITUAL GUIDE PUJA THIS SATURDAY

10:00am - 1:00pm at KMC NYC

On the 10th and 25th of each month, Kadampa centers throughout the world hold chanted prayers (puja) called Offering to the Spiritual Guide. This is a special Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa in conjunction with Highest Yoga Tantra that is a preliminary practice for Vajrayana Mahamudra. The main practice is relying upon our Spiritual Guide as a Buddha and making praises and requests, but it also includes all the essential practices of the stages of the path and training the mind, as well as both the generation stage and completion stage of Highest Yoga Tantra. By relying upon Je Tsongkhapa our compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power naturally increase.

During our Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja on May 10, Kadam Morten will give a teaching about this beautiful practice as well as guide some meditation.

This practice includes a Tsog offering so you can bring a vegetarian food offering with you if you wish, and we will conclude the puja with a party.

Everybody is welcome.

How Love Creates a Better World

Starts tomorrow at 11am with Kadam Morten

Whenever we feel an appreciation for another person or being, whenever we are valuing another person’s happiness or freedom, we are experiencing love. That’s why love is for everyone. What’s more, authentic love is available to us at any time. It is the manifestation of our naturally good heart and whenever we access it we experience peace and happiness. However, we need to learn how to access it. As we all know, sometimes that can be tricky.

Buddha taught an extraordinary sequence of meditations through which we gradually let go of the hurt and resentment that holds us back from opening our hearts to others. These meditations help us to purify our love, thereby improving all our relationships. Step by step we are led to expand our capacity, eventually to encompass all beings.

Through talks, guided meditations and discussions Kadam Morten and other Center teachers will help us to experience these profound and life-changing meditations. Everyone welcome.

How Love Creates a Better World

Starts tomorrow at 11am with Kadam Morten

Whenever we feel an appreciation for another person or being, whenever we are valuing another person’s happiness or freedom, we are experiencing love. That’s why love is for everyone.
