Meditating into a New You

Live Your Best Mind in 2025

Who do you wish to be in the New Year? Someone overwhelmed by and struggling with the ever-changing circumstances we are continously encountering? Or someone with a peaceful, flexible mind and good-hearted intention capable of responding positively and skillfuly to whatever the New Year brings.

Let’s meditate into this new you as we meditate into the New Year.

Our annual New Year’s Eve celebration will begin with a party followed by a talk with Kadam Morten on the power of meditation in helping to become the person we truly wish to be. In particular he will encourage us to use the occasion of the New Year, with all the challenges and opportunities it will bring as a spur to initiate that process of change … both for our own sake and for the sake of others, and even for the sake of our world.

He will then guide a meditation that will take us into the New Year, leaving plenty of time for you also to focus on your own particular resolutions as well.

Everyone welcome.

Our New Year's Eve Meditation and Celebration is
One of Our Biggest Events of the Year!

Ringing in the new year with my Sangha friends at KMCNYC is by far the most excellent way to end a year and also the most perfect way to begin it.

I will be attending the NYE event because I know it will bring me peace and comfort, and prepare me to start the year with a peaceful positive mind.

I love the Kadampa NYE meditation class because it allows me to focus on a peaceful and joyful state of mind. A mind that is able to set my best intentions on how to start the new year. A mind that is able to let go of the year that's gone and begin in a new moment. And most importantly, a mind that is able to connect with others that have the same wish.

I have grown fond of ringing in the New Year’s with KMC NYC. A meditation and prayers for world peace resonate very strongly with me.

In Dharma teachings we often hear, "Blink and it's a new world. " Every new year's eve at KMC NYC we have this very cool opportunity...blink (meditate) and it's a new year! It's such a great way to re-set my course. This year in particular. Nothing could be smarter.

I will be attending the NYE event again because I feel it's a meaningful way to start the New Year. Hearing Buddha's wisdom is always very inspiring and it helps me with framing my outlook for the year ahead and the person I want to be.

Entering a new year with my mind filled with peace, joy, and love-- and connecting to others who are doing the same  --  is so meaningful, particularly right now.  2021 needs us. - Sharon G.

I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else on NYE. It’s a meaningful way to start my year going inwards.

I want to look back at the year that's been and contemplate how I can see its events in a more constructive way and I'd also like to look forward and ask myself what do I want the coming year to look like?

There is no better way to start the year off right than by setting a strong intention to contribute to the cause of inner and outer healing and peace!

I will be attending this event to start the year meaningfully, by setting an intention to create inclusion, joy, authenticity and pure love in the coming year.
