Program Structure

Guided by KMC-NYC’s team, companies choose whether to conduct the meditation classes in their own workplace or at the center, which is located on the edge of both Chelsea and the Flatiron District. Program teacher Adam Seessel works with the client to create a program structure that suits their employees. With guidance and engagement meditation can greatly improve focus, bring a flexible and creative mind to problem solving and help people to become better listeners and communicators.

A sample program structure could cover the following areas:

  1. Tools for Success: Your Mind and Your Intention
  2. Embracing Change: The Wisdom of Flexibility
  3. Authentic Leadership: Be Grounded, Be Confident

The Clear Mind at Work team consists of various senior Kadampa practitioners who know the realities of corporate life in New York City.

The program is run by Wall Street investment manager Adam Seessel. With more than 30 years experience working in journalism and finance, Adam knows first-hand the demands of New York’s corporate market and the potential for stress in the workplace.

In the late 1990s Adam turned to meditation and Buddhism in seek of a balance from the demands of his high pressured job. Having studied and taught Buddhist teachings for more than 15 years, Adam believes meditation has helped him find the “middle way between professional success and personal happiness.”

Adam is the lead teacher of the Clear Mind at Work at program and has taught to a range of companies including Google and DDB.
