Where does our unhappiness, and our insecurities and other challenges reside? The answer of course is, our mind. If we could simply change our mind we would free ourselves from these painful tendencies. However we often find changing our mind to be very difficult. Our mind feels very stuck in its ways and so we keep thinking the same old thoughts in the same old way. We feel we can’t change and that therefore we can't have the life that we want.
According to Buddha, this is a sign that we don’t actually know the nature of the mind. In this special event Kadam Morten will introduce us to an extraordinary meditation on the nature of the mind. Through this meditation we discover that at its heart the mind is open, light, the very nature of peace and joy, and infinitely flexible. This discovery opens us up to a whole new perspective: we discover we can change, we can heal, we can let go of even the most deep seated traumas.
In the ensuing five-week series, Kadam Morten will take us deeper into the meditation on the natutre of the mind and the profound implications that arise from it. This meditation, and the liberating and healing wisdom associated with it, also known as Mahamudra, has been the heart practice of meditators for centuries.
