KADAMPA FESTIVALS
Every year NKT-IKBU organizes world wide Kadampa festivals on Buddhism and meditation that explain to people how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern life.” These include International Festivals, and National Festivals.
The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter.
Geshe-la’s vision in creating festivals is to give practitioners the means to put down their daily life problems and distractions and step into a world focused solely on the practice of Dharma. When our only job is to think about and talk about Dharma, something amazing happens: we see what it’s really like to practice purely, and we experience the incredible effects. It’s this taste of purity that deeply changes us, and strengthens our resolve to train our minds.
