Half-day retreat this Saturday at KMC NYC:

Based on the current Monday/Tuesday Series: The Amazing Meditation for Healing Body & Mind
with France Roy

The meditation known as Taking and Giving, in Tibetan “tonglen”, has been used for centuries as a healing meditation. Not only is this meditation legendary for its physical healing properties, it is also a powerful method for healing painful mental tendencies such as insecurity, anger and hurt. Taking and Giving practice gives rise to innumerable benefits, including boosting positive energy, purifying the mind and in particular enabling us to deal skillfully and peacefully with our daily challenges.

In this half-day retreat, France will draw on some of the teachings on this meditation that are being covered in the Monday General program series. Attendance on Monday nights is not necessary in order to draw great benefit from this retreat.

Yesterday our sangha enjoyed a half-day retreat on the joyful, blissful and deeply profound practice of Vajrayogini self-generation, using the Blissful Path sadhana. This was the perfect follow-up to the recent International Fall Festival, in which Heruka and Vajrayogini empowerments were granted by our general spiritual director, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong. It is said, we can attain enlightenment very easily if we follow these instructions purely and sincerely. How very fortunate we are!
