While it may be impossible to avoid difficult situations and conditions, it turns out that through training the mind in Buddhist meditation we can upend those troubling situations . . . to our advantage! This special practice, known as βtransforming adverse conditions into the path,β enables us to integrate all of our experiences into our spiritual training. Living skillfully and creatively in this way makes our whole life meaningful and joyful. In session one, we will explore what are known as the βmethodβ practices for transforming the mind. Session two will be devoted to the wisdom method.
