NYE Talk and Meditation

New Year New You: Making 2025 Spiritually Meaningful

The new year is a symbol of possibility. We wish to change and for our lives to go in a better direction but for that to happen we need to connect with the potential that exists within our minds. The profound tools of transformation within Buddhist meditation give us the ability to become the person we wish to be: more dynamic, confident, kinder, more loving, peaceful, and happier. In this talk, Kadam Morten will explore how we can use Buddhist meditation to connect to profound dimensions within our mind. This connection gives us the ability to change at deep levels in order to become the person we wish to be.

Our New Year's Eve Meditation and Celebration is
One of Our Biggest Events of the Year!

Ringing in the new year with my Sangha friends at KMCNYC is by far the most excellent way to end a year and also the most perfect way to begin it.

I will be attending the NYE event because I know it will bring me peace and comfort, and prepare me to start the year with a peaceful positive mind.

I love the Kadampa NYE meditation class because it allows me to focus on a peaceful and joyful state of mind. A mind that is able to set my best intentions on how to start the new year. A mind that is able to let go of the year that's gone and begin in a new moment. And most importantly, a mind that is able to connect with others that have the same wish.

I have grown fond of ringing in the New Year’s with KMC NYC. A meditation and prayers for world peace resonate very strongly with me.

In Dharma teachings we often hear, "Blink and it's a new world. " Every new year's eve at KMC NYC we have this very cool opportunity...blink (meditate) and it's a new year! It's such a great way to re-set my course. This year in particular. Nothing could be smarter.

I will be attending the NYE event again because I feel it's a meaningful way to start the New Year. Hearing Buddha's wisdom is always very inspiring and it helps me with framing my outlook for the year ahead and the person I want to be.

Entering a new year with my mind filled with peace, joy, and love-- and connecting to others who are doing the same  --  is so meaningful, particularly right now.  2021 needs us. - Sharon G.

I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else on NYE. It’s a meaningful way to start my year going inwards.

I want to look back at the year that's been and contemplate how I can see its events in a more constructive way and I'd also like to look forward and ask myself what do I want the coming year to look like?

There is no better way to start the year off right than by setting a strong intention to contribute to the cause of inner and outer healing and peace!

I will be attending this event to start the year meaningfully, by setting an intention to create inclusion, joy, authenticity and pure love in the coming year.
