1-hour instructional workshops on Buddhism and meditation, for schools and youth groups. Offered in-person at our main center in Chelsea.
By donation, suggested $5 per attendee (no one is ever turned away due to lack of funds)
Buddha discovered that every single living being has within them a natural reservoir of inner peace, the source of authentic and lasting happiness. Using Buddhist meditation, we can learn how to gain greater and greater levels of access to this inner peace, until finally, we're happy all the time.
For young people, these methods can become a true friend, giving them the wisdom needed to weather the challenges of growing up in today's always on, digitally driven world. Through applying these teachings they will come to know how to remain peaceful in any situation, and help others do the same.
To grow a peaceful world we need to grow peaceful kids. The Peaceful Mind, Happy Life program is designed to do just that.

Once we receive your request we'll begin working to locate and secure one of our teachers for your class. Sometimes we can let you know our availability immediately, but in some cases it can take us up to 3-5 days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Typically we plan school visits that last 60 minutes. This allows enough time for an introduction to Buddhist meditation, a brief Q&A and time for a meditation.
Our Teachers

Tamara Thomas
Tamara is a long-time meditation practitioner who also teaches many general program classes and 30-minute meditations. Tamara also happens to run our operations team!

Lina Bertucci
Lina is a seasoned Buddhist meditation practitioner, a photographer and mom. She co-teaches the lunchtime meditation class on Mondays at KMC Chelsea.

Justine Volesko
Justine is a stay at home mom, a volunteer here at the Chelsea center and she teaches. She has studied on the Teacher Training Program for many years.
