Life as a New York City teen can feel stressful and overwhelming. There’s a lot to negotiate – friends, teachers, parents, expectations. . .
Buddha’s teachings and meditations provide powerful tools that can help us deal with our anxious feelings, allowing us to make better choices and become the person we want to be.
In this class, we’ll practice simple meditations that will help us get rid of distractions and ground us in a more peaceful and productive state. We’ll see how meditation can offer a break from our hectic lives, a handy “time out” that we can use whenever we need it.
We’ll also come away with an understanding that in any situation we have the power to choose what it means for us and respond in the best and most useful way.
