Sunday June 25
- 10:00 – 11:00am Meditation and Guided Yoga of Buddha Vajrapani Practice
- 11:30am – 1:00pm Commentary 2 (with simultaneous kids class downstairs)
- 4:00 – 6:00pm Offering to the Spiritual Guide (optional)
Buddha Vajrapani is the embodiment of the power of all the Buddhas. Although his nature is love, his aspect is fierce to emphasize his function of empowering our minds to abandon our delusions.
The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we connect to Buddha Vajrapani’s enlightened mind. By receiving these inspiring blessings we can swiftly actualize our own potential for a fearless heart, and gain the confidence we need to progress successfully along the spiritual path.
Throughout the weekend we will explore how to integrate this self-confidence into our life, and in particular how to use the practice of Vajrapani to bring about the deep transformative changes that we long for. By virtue of the power of our own good heart, we can help to bring enormous relief to our suffering world. Everyone is welcome.
Families with children under the age of 11 will be seated in the downstairs meditation room which will have a video-link of the empowerment and activities for the kids during the breaks. No charge for children.
About Kadampa Meditation Center NYC
Located in the heart of Chelsea, Kadampa Meditation Center NYC provides meditation classes and teachings throughout NYC and the greater New York area.
We offer evening classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and morning classes on Tuesdays, and Sundays that are suitable for newcomers. Our lunchtime meditations and after-work meditations are only a half-hour long and a great way to get a taste of meditation. We also have monthly introductory classes, Awakening the Heart and How to Meditate, as well as regular day and weekend meditation courses and retreats.
